The future colleague will join the Cloud Native Team in the role of PLATFORM ENGINEER, operating independently with an assigned set of clients and demonstrating strong self-management skills while maintaining access to senior guidance when needed; managing Kubernetes platforms and related ecosystem technologies of increasing complexity; handling client relationships autonomously while seeking support from Senior Engineers or the Team Leader for technical challenges or complex client situations, and taking ownership of Infrastructure as Code implementations and DevOps enablement activities.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

• Managing customer tickets and resolving technical issues to ensure timely responses to infrastructure problems and maintain customer satisfaction;
• Delivering and setting up infrastructure to successfully deploy and configure Kubernetes environments and related technologies for customers;
• Providing technical consulting and advisory services to enable customers in adopting DevOps practices and optimizing Kubernetes platform utilization;
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of SIGHUP distribution products to support product evolution and ensure platform reliability;
• Proactively monitoring and optimizing infrastructure to maintain stable environments and ensure optimal platform performance;
• Delivering customer training and knowledge transfer sessions to empower customer teams with platform skills and best practices;
• Implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable infrastructure deployments.

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

Hard Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered;

• +2 years of experience depending on the seniority in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, or related technical roles;

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform);

• Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command line interface;

• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana);

• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python or similar languages);

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker);

• Good knowledge of Kubernetes;

• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing);

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kustomize, Helm);

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and platforms;

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab);

• CKAD, CKA, or CKS certifications are considered a plus.

Language Skills:

• Good command of Italian and English, both written and spoken;

• Good command of French and/or Spanish is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment;

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
